My route to Australia

This is the rough route that I will take to Australia. It's liable to change as it's depenandant on what I feel like doing. I'll try to keep it updated though. The rough journey is London to Portugal, Portugal to Russia (via Moldova), Russia to China, China to Australia.

...Gladys

Meet Gladys. My traveling companion. She was handmade, which is pretty amazing, by a friend of mine, Nelli. Gladys is lovely, although has a slightly disturbed look about her. She is the reincarnation of a little white rabbit I once had, Miffy, who is now dead. Miffy was marked for a "death by eating" death the moment she was born, so it's not like her sudden death came as a surprise. I have quite a horrible rabbit story and a fluffy toy effigy of that rabbit. It's not weird. She reminds me a bit of the doll on the front cover of Issues by Korn. I think it's the eyes and the slouching, lopsided sitting arrangement.

It's all in the detail

Pretty cool. My Russian visa with my name translated into Cyrillic. I could have probably transcribed it myself, but it's made more special seeing as the Russian Embassy did it for me.

I had copied nearly 6 months worth of pictures onto this hard drive which were now all lost. I have tried many times in vain to revive little HDD. I haven't quite come to terms with losing these pictures; the memory mainly evokes anguish from the inability to feed my nostalgia with personal jpegs of my first trip big adventure in a far away country. Whatever it is though has made me think that having a better standard of blog (the MSN one was good, but seemed a bit childish and like I was 15 years old again) is going to be worth it. Plus, I've always liked the idea of having a blog or diary. I have tried writing a diary before. Sort of unsuccessfully. It was a trip over a few weeks. I was ok at the writin...
